AAWR's membership program is designed to support its vision of preserving this region's visual artistic legacy and as well as the histories and art of its archived artists. The Archives also works to maintain and expand a sustainable community of active, contributing artists. To that end, the Archives strives to create artistic and commercial opportunities for its members.

Your membership includes a subscription to ARTSWIRE, our quarterly newsletter. You’ll be able to send us information about your news items to include in ARTSWIRE. You will receive discounts on workshops and demonstrations held here and be invited to AAWR opening receptions, gallery talks and other special events. Artist members also enjoy the opportunity to show and sell their art in our twice-annual member exhibitions and at select venues and special events. You’ll also receive a discount card honored by several select area merchants such as Visible Voice Books, Heights Frame & Art, The Arch Gallery, and P.K. Wadsworth Heating and Cooling (call us for details). Camaraderie and the opportunity to network with fellow members are also important benefits. As a member, you’ll also be doing your part to help preserve our region’s visual artistic legacy!

Membership in AAWR is available in two categories: Artist and Patron. Both individual memberships cost $50 ($25 for students) per year. Your contribution is fully tax-deductible.

  • AAWR is governed by its Artist members who have voting rights.
  • Artist members select the Board of Trustees of which 2/3 are always artists.
  • Patron members support the mission of the organization through volunteer efforts, fundraising and participation in committees. They have voting rights when elected to the Board of Trustees.

Click here to print out the membership form that can be mailed in with your check. Please make checks payable to the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve.
